But, as person12345 says "A lot of fantasies do best if they remain fantasies". So, if she's had it done before, and better than you did it, then she knows what she likes and she can tell you. Of course, if that has happened, you might have more to talk about, and "never mind" may have another connotation.

 A lot of fantasies do best if they remain fantasies. Like it sounds great in your head, but then when you try it in real life, it's awkward/embarrassing, or weird, or just downright unpleasant. That's most likely what happened here, and she probably is just embarrassed or upset that it didn't turn out how she wanted, not because of you. I'd drop it.

 It could have meant quite a few things. Usually when a girl wants to be spanked, she wants the sex to be rough too. Usually spanking is best done from doggy style with a little hair pulling mixed in. She shouldn't ask for it, you should tell her she's naughty and needs to be taught a lesson. She's looking for you to dominate her.
