Fatherly Advice agony auntI've come up with a few in my white undershirts. Most were work related, Hot metal fragments, or bits of tar from cleaning. Not sure how that would get to briefs. I have to admit I thought of mascara it is very sticky, but would smear with washing. Insects also leave behind black specks, that should wash out easily.

The Realist agony auntI would definitely say it was something that you washed them with.

I am guessing this was just a one time thing. That is quite strange though but I doubt it is anything to worry about.
