A female United Kingdom age , BigSis writes:

{Please read to the end}

When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a bitch, and when I stand up for those I love, they call me a bitch. When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts or do things my own way...they call me a bitch.

Being a bitch means I won't compromise what's in my heart. It means I live my life MY way. It means I won't allow anyone to step on me. When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak against it, I am defined as a bitch.

The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being every one's maid, or when I act a little selfish. It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of what they think I 'should' be.

I am outspoken, opinionated and determined. I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that! So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me. You won't succeed.

So if that makes me a bitch...so be it. I embrace the title and I am proud to bear it.

BigSis agony auntThanks Vamp Gal...

...I like the new me, I believe it's the best way to be, and do you know why? Because I've been walked all over, bullied, abused in lots of ways - you name it, I've taken it, too much s**t in the past has happened to me. Well no more! I've had enough. I'm determined to stay strong for as long as I live. No one treats me with disrespect and gets away with it.

Being a bitch doesn't necessarily mean you're a nasty person. Personally I think I'm rather nice.

: )

All I'm trying to do here is get my message across, don't let anyone - and I mean 'ANYONE' bully and treat you like you are below them, whether they be your fella, husband, son, daughter, so called 'friend', etc. etc. You just keep your head's held high and be proud - show them that you are above them.

Hope you and many others follow suit.

Take care Vamp,

BigSis

A reader, anonymous, writes (15 October 2008):

I love this. People often think this of my bestfriend, because she is in total control of her life and the only one she answers to is God. I'm proud of her though, because when everyone else, including myself has allowed life's circumstances and society's demands to break off bits and pieces of who we are, she's stood firm. I've learned, over a period of time, that to love yourself, is to be loved and those people that hate you because you love yourself, never did love you anyway. They're not worth the time you spend on them, so if they get mad, who cares. There's nothing wrong with you. They don't mean you any good any how.
