reader, anonymous, writes (10 May 2011): Yes, you will lose the ability. Porn is numbing your senses, the more you watch the more of a problem it will become. You cannot pick up hints and tips from porn, that is the biggest fallacy going!! The imagination is actually more powerful so use it instead of relying on porn. Porn is the quick fix and I understand how powerful the orgasm can be when watching, but therein lies the danger. Try and google "your brain on porn" and look at some of the FAQs on there. It's a really scary read from guys who have had to go cold turkey from porn to allow their natural feelings to come back, like being able to have sex normally with a real live woman. I'd sincerely like to know without prying too much exactly "what new things The Realist brings into the bedroom" after watching porn. Seriously, enlighten me??

 I don't think you will at all. I watch porn what I would consider to be often and all that I have found is that I know more of what I like sexually and can bring new things into the bedroom with my gf. I'm not talking about what most people view as porn but there is a sensual side of it which I'm sure you know of. Since I have been watching it I find that it actually increased my imagination for that sort of thing.

 There is a much more serious issue to consider. Porn has a way of desensitizing poeple when it comes to what is realistic in sex. I have dealt a lot with people who struggled with Porn and their biggest concern was how they view another person as more of an object than as a person.
Just something to keep in mind because it sounds like you have been depending upon Porn for your sexual needs.
