Occasionaly i forget to take things with me home and forget say a stocking and i find it in his bed instead of where i left it, say on a shelf etc. he says he misses me as soon as i leave could this be why or is there a guy reason for this? I guess it might sound strange - but it makes sense.
I don't think you need to be creeped out by it - but flattered. He likes having you around :)

Awwww I think that is lovely.... In fact you brought it back to mind when I was your age and with my first boyfriend... I remember him having an item of clothing of mine and doing the same, and I used to have a scarf of his.
It makes him feel close to you...
Dirtball... you are soooo naughty with that last comment hahaha...

I agree with Dirtball.
If you feel creepy about this, tell him it bothers you. But to be honest, and as your boyfriend said his reasons to you, he does seem to really miss you by doing this. So feel lucky instead, it is a sign that he wants to be reminded of you and an indication that he loves you.

By the way, if the stockings are a little crusty, then he's using them for something else.

Perhaps he likes having something of yours close to him as a reminder of you. Perhaps it smells like you and gives him something good to think of while he drifts off.
