Why does my boyfriend hold my arm instead of holding my hand in public?

I've been told that he's trying to "guide me", that he's being protective and guarding me. I'm still curious as to what this may mean when he does this.

Thanks.

TasteofIndia agony auntWell, it all depends. Does it FEEL like he's dragging you around and using his positioning to lead you? Or, does he seem to be doing it affectionately - as if he's holding your hand, but just holding your arm? This could be a possessive move, or maybe it's just more comfortable for him.

If you don't like it, simply push his hand off your arm, and take his hand in yours. Good luck, sweet!

Relish it....you are one lucky woman. Most women say the opposite about their men trust me. I know that for a fact, because I was guilty of not wanting to hold my woman in public. I have since changed though. We hold hands more in public now. She loves it!

I think you should ask him. You don't need to make it a big deal, just say you are curious. It's usually best to ask the person, as nobody but him would know the answer.
