TasteofIndia agony auntWhat a lame guy! Don't let him make you feel better or judge you based on a piercing. I have my belly button pierced and like you, am far from trashy. So don't let it get to you, just write him off as conservative (not a bad thing) and judgmental (a bad thing), and totally tactless!! Don't worry about his words.

Hi

Well, he left! Why would you waste your time even thinking what he thought of you? Life is too short to waste on analyzing why someone thought of you and what they thought of you!!!

Do you like your piercing? Are you happy with it? Well, then enjoy trying various belly rings and stuff!

Don't waste your time thinking what he thought! In life there will be too many people with an opinion, and if you start thinking about what they will think, you will never live your life. So, go on...enjoy!! There will be many who will think you are hot!

ANd while we are at it, having a pierced bellybutton in no way makes you trashy. It just makes people like him immature and prejudiced.

So...

Have Fun

Cheers :)

well, maybe because we see too many porn girls with pierced tongues and belly button and tatoos and pink hairs that is why we have formed the opinion that girls who do these things are not nice girls.

Confuzzled012 agony auntI really don't think he was flirting. For him, a belly ring is just not attractive. He's conservative and relates the rings to sluttier or trashier girls who wear belly shirts and whatnot. I'm definitely not calling you those things at all, but i'm giving you what his point of view might be.

For some people, *any* piercing, other than maybe *one* in the ear lobe, is trashy. You met a conservative guy who doesn't buy "body art." Move on to less conservative guys.

Well...boys aren't the smartest at flirting especially when they're teenagers. He could have been flirting and did it as a way to make you feel insecure, or if you were doing something like trying to show it off--he wasn't impressed and told you it's trashy, OR he's just not very nice and really thinks it's trashy, but rather than keeping his opinion to himself he decided to voice it. As far as if he does think it's trashy, I don't know why; however, people usually find piercings such as the belly button, tongue or eyebrow as trashy and kind of outdated.
