Yet these girls still stay with them. It's the same everywhere I go, and I try to be nice to women and they always see it as a turn off?  I've been in love with a complete jerk for almost a year now, and I don't know what it is at all why I feel this way about him, but I think that is just it. I think it's because I've grown so used to him treating me badly that when he treats me with the slightest bit of respect and interest I feel so happy, and those spurts of happiness make me realise that he is so special. I mean, he is the only person I've ever met that I can think about every second of the day, the only person who, no matter what they do to me, I will always love and hold a special place in my heart for them. And I believe that I will for the rest of my life. When this person makes me happy, I forget all about his faults, and bits that I'd like to change about him, and just all I can see is this perfect him who can make me feel this way.

I think lots of women and girls are in a similar situation.

 Yeah the jerks... gosh dont get me started on jerks! They're everywhere these days! London really should be renamed to jerkville or something. These jerks always causing trouble then you kick their ass and they wonder what they did wrong...Anyway, its more common to see chavvy girls with their jerk boyfriends, talking in that screwed up accent of theirs! These people seriously burn me up! Sometimes you just regret not being a girl cos those girls really deserve a good ass kicking too!Sorry for the rant, I'm really sleepy but my phone isn't connecting to my laptop for some reason and its bugging me...There's nothing wrong with you, let these girls (no matter how nice they are) stick with their bums. Anyone dumb enough to date a bum cant be good news now can they. Find someone decent, I know not every nice girl is dating an ass!

reader, anonymous, writes (23 July 2006): Women I've met/known that stay with their bastard whore boyfriends is mainly because they themselves lack self-esteem/self-respect. Sometimes it could also be that they haven't been loved as much during their youths, and go for the first and next person that picks them up. These women are generally more shallow and superficial. However aside from that, a lot of these women also desire someone sweet, considerate, caring, mature, etc, etc, but they also see these same types of guys as weak. Another factor you may want to consider is that a lot of these women on a superficial level like to be seen as a hot couple - have some hot guy with a mediocre personality looks a lot better than having an average guy with an awesome personality.
Mind you, I am generally speaking here.
One thing to note about attitude is if you are geniunely a considerate guy, you may not always want to be there for someone. I know this sounds strange, but yeah... 8/
