 There are so many reason. However please do not damage his ego by making a issue of this as it will just serve to entrench the existing issue. be gentle with him. I do think its important that you, with out highlighting the situation, ask him if there is anything you could change or do differntly sexually that would bring him more pleasure. Affirm him.

CaringGuy nailed it though. Lots of factors play in and could be the cause. Is he taking any medications? Has he been depressed? Did it just start happening? Do you make him feel like less of a man because of it? By the tone of your question, i'd tend to think the answer to my last question is "yes."
