You tested too early you should wait until your next period would be due and test if it does not show up on that date.

You too? I am trying to conceive as well, and my oh my is it frustrating. I get jealous of those who are such fertile myrtles, instantly getting pregnant after the first try! Here's tips I'll share with you that learned and heard...
-Track your ovulation it's anywhere from 7-12 days after your period, you can buy an ovulation tracker which will tell you if you will ovulate in the next 24-48 hours at the drugstore, or track your period for the next 3 months and take your results into the gyno and they can tell you your exact ovulation window.
-You must not stress or worry, this can effect when you ovulate..
-Do no use spit as a lube and beware of the other lubes on the market..it can slow down the sperm traveling to the ultimate goal, or kill them due to unbalanced pH levels. I've ordered a sperm friendly lube called Pre-Seed which has rave reviews.
-Don't go to the bathroom straightaway after sex, sit there with a towel underneath you and a pillow your pelvis elevated for at least 15 minutes.
-Don't have too much sex before your ovulation because when that window rolls around you don't want him shooting blanks.
-Have your husband and you refrain from smoking or alcohol such vices can reduce your risk for conceiving or in the male's case it could lower your sperm count.
-Lastly pray to God every night
-And on a side note, you have to try for a minimum of a year before the fertility doctors will see you.
Now I'm not pregnant yet, but I am willing to try anything so any potential myth is true until proven otherwise. Best of luck trying to conceive, baby dust to you!

Conceptions doesn't always happen BANG! when you want it too.
Relax and enjoy the baby making process. You can also start an ovulation tracker to see when you are the most fertile.

After long term birth control it can take a while for your body to be ready to conceive. Also, most people have to try multiple times in order to conceive. It's not like it magically happens the first time you have sex without contraception, well if you want it to. It seems that if you don't want it to happen, it always does. Damn Murphy's law... :-P
Keep trying. Read some books about when the best time to conceive is and have lots of sex. Good luck!

Hon, you dont say when you last had a period - the best time for concieving is usually about 14 days after the first day of your period.
Also, I think that you need to give your body some time to adjust after the coil - so just relax and take things slowly.

Conception is not easy when you want it. very rarely does it happen in the first month of trial. You need to ry for at least 12 months before you start worrying about it. Are you following the fertile dates?
