writes:I have been texting this girl for the past four days, we've been texting back and forth always having something to say, just seem to get along really great and have banter! Then yesterday I texted her and she hasn't replied, in fact it's nearly been two days.. I'm not being a sad guy here keeping track, but it's strange how we've been texting everyday for the past few days and she always replies quick, yet now she isn't replying at all? What do you think happened, why would girls suddenly just stop texting you back? I get the impression something has happened, I just want to know what you would assumed..

This exact same thing happened to me. I had been texting this boy for a week and then he didn't text me for four days. I finally decided to stop wondering and just text him and see what was up. I didn't ask him why he never texted back, I just texted him something he'd find interesting and that opened back up the lines of communication. We've been dating for a month now and I'm really glad I decided to text him. It turns out he just fell asleep and never got the text I sent. So don't be a chicken! Text her a random question or about a band she likes, she may think you don't like her because you haven't texted her again. Just go for it! :)

People want their own space sometimes, and two days isn't that long really, It's not like it's been a week or longer since she contacted you.

Best way to see if someone is interested in furthering communications is to ask a question. One simple question. Then you just gotta be patient.
Two days really is not all that long. It only seems it because you are all gaga over her.

reader, anonymous, writes (19 January 2012): Give it a few days, it sounds like she might be playing hard to get, or trying to see how eager you are.... guys do this too. Maybe she prefers to talk on the phone, maybe she's not really one of those people that needs to be texting the guy she likes everyday.
Don't text her, wait it out. Give it about two weeks, you don't want to look needy and desperate, you want to give the impression you have a life too.
After about two weeks text her, a simple "hey how are you", if you still get no reply, she's clearly not interested, or has met someone else. Don't look on it that you did anything wrong, thats not necessarily the case. Just move on if this happens.
