From my experience, in a regular club you'd wear the same clothes as you normally do when clubbing. If you were to take your top off, you will be asked to put it back on by staff.
The only exception is if you're going to a club that's part of a gay night, it is more normal and accepted for guys to go shirtless in such places.
You should try get a general idea from the reputation of the club, generally it will be more strict if it's in a town, but in London it's more relaxed but totally depends on the area.

Wear something that doesn't need to go the cleaners after.
Bring a spare set of clothes to wear after.

I wouldn't wear anthing you'd be upset over ruining. Probably safe to go with a wife beater (singlet) and shorts. From foam parties I've been to, girls usually wear simple clothes that can take getting foamy - shorts, singlets, croptops, light summer dresses etcetc. Bikinis may / may not make an appearance, depending on whether its held during the day or at nighttime. Technically you could go topless, but this is flirting with the dangerous risk of looking like a massive douche.

Well really you can wear anything you usually would to a night out (yes I think some guys go shirtless). My only advice is to not wear anything that's expensive and/or extremely colourful as the dye can run and completely ruin your clothes as one of my friends found out.
