I have a similar problem! My sister was stupid enough to not clear her browse history and I seen all types of lesbian porn she watches. I thought it was normal that straight girls watch porn sometimes but she watches it consistently and Im sure she is getting off in her room when its locked. All of us watch porn in our teens specially us boys and I think its best to let her do her and if shes gay then she could tell us when she is ready.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 August 2008): I think you should tell your parents that it is available at home, not that she is watching it and that you are not happy. Parental guidelines are necessary. It is not wrong like anything dealt with carefully at such a young age. There is a balance to be struck between normal curiosity and an unhealthy level of interest which supports an industry that ultimately does nothing much for womenkind. If she is bi-sexual or gay it makes no odds, hopefully she will have good relationships. Porn robs people of intimacy and normal expectations in many instances when it becomes an obsession. However, the lieklihood is she could just grow out of it. To me (I had a look a couple of times) I thought it looked like women stuffing chickens with no feathers, espcially as they were shaved bald, then I though yuk and it did nothing further for me....

Whilst it's not desirable for a 12 year old to be looking at any sort of porn, it's not doing any real harm. If you are seriously concerned that the type of porn she is watching could be doing her any real damage (which I very much doubt from what you've said), then perhaps you could suggest to your parents that they put a lockable anti-porn system onto all the computers (like "Net Nanny" or similar) - so that none of you "go onto porn sites by mistake".
Other than that, ignore it. Leave it to her. She'll either grow out of it, or she won't. Many girls have lesbian tendencies at some stage during their teens, just as many boys have homosexual tendencies in their teens. It's part of growing up and the rush of new hormones trying to find a proper balance. In most cases it's no more than the awakening of sexuality.
The last thing she needs is the embarassment of her elder brother knowing what she is doing - so keep what you've seen to yourself and say nothing about it to anyone. And avoid "catching her" doing it in the future.

No more than you'd expect her to do if she'd seen you jacking off to the readers' wives section of a mens magazine. It's normal behaviour. At 12 years of age she hasn't properly discovered what her sexuality is and is experimenting. Leave her to it - what harm is she doing?
And tell her to close her bedroom door in future.
