How can you tell if this is real or something else . Met a girl at work a couple years ago . We talked once in awhile , mostly about nothing . Then one day we were going by each other and she stuck out her pinky to shake pinkies . Well that little thing went all through and it was like falling inlove ,better then winning the lotto . Didn't tell her because as nice as it was , it was weird . Couple months pass , still had that feeling . But anyway was talking to some other ladies at work , they were bugging me about being single . And was there anyone at work I would like to get to know . Told them sure , Dawn .But I really not good at asking girls out . And haven't thought of away to get to know her . Well ended conversation and was walking by Dawn when she asked me to help her with new house . Thought hell , were you reading my thoughts . Well anyway did help her , 8 weeks and towards end let her know about the pinky thing and how I walked out of office and she asked me to help . And the big mistake of letting her know how I feel . thinks I'm just dreaming .And right now she has to much going on with ex husband . But we could be friends . You know that one and where it doesn't go . Well anyway what is this all suppose to mean with the pinky thing etc . Because rigth now I feel pretty shitty . And she doesn't help the situation . But I can't figure out why I feel so inlove with her , but at the same time so miseriable . Is it time to walk and just pass this all off as strange . Right now it is definitely one way . Not good at all .

Well thanks for answers . But I finally came to the conclusion that I can't change what happened in the beginning or end . They both happened . And everything happens for a reason .

Danielepew agony auntSorry, this means she is not interested. Sorry again if this seems blunt, but the best thing you can do is move on.

Candleman agony auntTwo possible things I see...

1. The pinkie shake was simply a friendly gesture, like a teamwork at the office kind of thing.

2. The pinkie shake was your cue to act, and since you waited too long, she lost interest.

Either way, she's not interested in what you want at this point, so I'd forget it.

Next time you get that feeling, act sooner and spare the guessing games.

I'd talk to the other ladies at work and see if they had anyone in mind to hook you up with.

Yep, sounds like it's time to walk my friend. She's got a lot going on in her life right now, and she's not sure what she wants. There are other ladies out there. Get a hobby that women are likely to to as well as men and try to find someone else.
