I'm basically asking for health concerns (increase in birth defects, etc.)My husband and I are pretty healthy, and neither one of us smokes and we only drink on occasion, if that helps.I realize that everyone is different, but maybe there is a general "rule?"Thank you!

Thanks again!

Yes 35 they give you a choice of doing an amnio-centesus. I got pregnant at 27 after 2 weeks off the pill, but then again my Mum had my brother at 45 (third child). If you are trying to get pregnant stop reading stuff, thinking about it, timing when and what position you should be in to conceive, just RELAX and enjoy making your baby together rather than remembering that you were keeping containers under lamps and summoning each other because you are ovulating...having the right vibes is crucial even when you have a child, they pick up on your agitation or uneasyness of stress, so relax. Good luck!

It's different for each women and it is more easy to get pregnant after 35 when you already had some children before, but quite hard to get pregnant for the first time.

ive just had a baby and read absolutely every piece of medical advice going.
there is no ideal age but there are slightly higher risks for women over 35 and doctors encourage these women to take additional tests.
as long as you are happy and healthy this is all that counts
