writes:What does it mean when a guy promises to call at a certain time but he calls an hour or more after? I am talking to this guy who already told me that he wants a future with me, but he keeps making me uncomfortable by his failure to keep his words. Last time he promised to call after the game (I didn’t ask him to call at any time) he then called after two hours after the game. So, he tells me what he wants to do, but he doesn’t eventually. What is the natural explanation behind this? Is he really interested about me? If yes how can I change it?Thanks :) Reply to this Question

He is either a very poor time keeper, busy, or trying to play it cool.
As for trying to change him... my guess is you won't, but on the plus side, at least he DOES call you even if it is a few hours later..
If it is that you worry about if he is ok, then perhaps maybe next time say when he rings a few hours later than planned, that you were worried that something had happened.

 1) That guy is me (wrong option)
2) That guy is a Latin American (wrong option, I hope)
3) Although he is not me, or Latin American, he has a lot of trouble sticking to schedules
4) He didn't want to look desperate

As to how to change it, DON'T YOU EVEN TRY. YOU CAN'T. LATECOMERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!
You can, however, be a little more understanding. Were you expecting him to call ten milliseconds after the game was over?
