I think of it as a kind of stomach ache. Every time I see a certain man I'm in love with I get it. Also I kind of told him I loved him once but got butterflies so badly that I couldn't actually say it and I had to write it. 'Twas very weird. And painful.
It doesn't even have to be about love though. Sometimes people get it when they're nervous or exited.

lets just say every time i summon up the courage to ask a girl to something, i get butterflies in my stomach, the feelings india described a minute before.... it sucks to have butterflies, it makes you not yourself, but i guess thats what lust does to you... i think it means , coming from your instincts, you are attracted to them, or that there is "chemistry", god help me for using that corny phrase....

Getting butterflies in your stomach is when you see someone and suddenly you get a RUSH of nervousness and your stomach feels like it's turning inside out (not in a painful way so much as a... dizzying way).
Oh wait. You don't want a DEFINITION. I'm such an idiot.
When you get butterflies in your stomach, it could mean that you like them... if you get all giddy and giggly when you hear their name. Maybe they make you nervous or scared... but most likely, there's a little bit of curiousity inside of you! Maybe you've got a crush?
Good luck, sweetness.

It's not literally like having butterflies in your stomach, you just feel an odd feeling in that area that's unexplainable. When you meet a guy that you really like, and really want to talk to him, you'll see what the butterflies are.
