As a girl, I know that make up is important to a lot of women when it comes to their appearance but I'm not so sure when men think of it.Answers from all, male and female, would be much appreciated. Thank you. Reply to this Question Share |

Personally, if it's excessive, I don't like that. But it's not my business, is it?

A little makeup, just to cover an occasional blemish, is ok. I won't find a girl unattractive just for the occasional imperfection, but if she wants to cover it, fine. But the more natural she looks (either by not wearing any or by wearing very little and keeping it natural looking), the better.
Many men, like me, prefer their women to avoid makeup where possible. Less mess, more ability to touch your face, kissing without getting lipstick on us, and usually even looking better!

Hi!Well, I think the answer to your question is that there is no answer. Everybody has different opinions. For example, my ex used to ask that I not wear makeup at all. I didn't mind. He just didn't like me looking fake because he says I'm beautiful the way I am. My current bf, though, likes when I wear mascara and eyeliner because he knows that that's how I feel most confident. For the most part, overdoing makeup is unattractive. Be careful to not look like a hooker, and I think you're fine! You're 16-17, so something that could help you with great makeup tips is Seventeen magazine (they have that in the UK, right?) and it's website. You can keep it light and fun with their tips. Feel free to message me with questions!--GG

I know my man loves it when I dont wear makeup, or only wear a little. He doesnt like foundation he says because it covers up the few freckles I have and he likes those. Also many men fail to notice if a woman has makeup on or not, as long as it is done natural looking. Most women I know like to keep it casual makeup by day and then a little flashie for nighttime, with eye shadow and lipstick and the works. Men love to see their lady all dressed up as well, but if you dress up in your finest every day it looses the charm. Again like I said though, all the guys I know like it natural looking (makeup really is supposed to just bring out what you already have...), and that goes for the eyebrows as well. Thin lines are not that great looking once you get older.
