I think they feel the same pressure as we women to look a certain way.

... Masculine.. feminine ?.... This is not just about looks and tastes !
This OP, if I got it right is OVERLY hairy EVERYWHERE. Supposedly we are not talking just about your usual hairy chest - more like a Planet of the Apes general effect. In this case it's not only a matter of personal preferences but, alas, of hygiene and civilized cohexistence. Thick body hair traps sweat droplets which stay there to oxydize and fester , with predictable unpleasant smells particularly in hot, humid weather. If you have an impenetrable forest of body hair only a thourough wash will do , and of course not always a shower is an option ( for instance at work )- If you are shaven, not only you'll develop less B.O. but , anyway, a quick swipe with baby wipes or refreshing towelettes will do the trick.
What girls will think ...? I am sure that those girls who ride buses or subway cars at rush hour, think of guys like you as their heroes :) and thank you mentally !

You can't ask what "most" women prefer; you have to ask your significant other if she is happier with or without your body hair. You'll get a different opinion from every other woman you ask.
Sometimes you do what makes you feel confident about yourself.
Do what makes you feel good and don't worry about it until you meet someone who says they'd like you a little hairy.

It shouldn't be about what others want, it should be about what YOU like and feel comfortable with. If you feel the need the shave, then do so. If not, then don't. As stated already, everyone has their own preferences. Some women like hairy men, some don't. Find someone that likes you for how to chose to be.
For what it is worth, I'm not into hairy men. I grew up in the days of Star Trek and thought Captain Kirk was sexy with a hairless chest. I think he kind of influenced me..him and Bruce Lee. My husband has a full head of hair at almost 50 but very little hair elsewhere. I love it! Some women might find that feminine but I find it very sexy. To each his own!

Thing is, OP, being completely hairless (other than head hair/eyebrows and regardless of gender) can make people uncomfortable because it may look prepubescent.
However, you don't need lots of body hair to be masculine and you don't need to remove body hair to be feminine. Also, some women are attracted to "feminine" men and some guys are attracted to "masculine" women. Gender expression isn't so binary - you don't have to look a certain way or do x, y, z to be seen as masculine/feminine or attractive.
When you're compatible, you're compatible. If not, let go and move on :)

Boys are hairless... Men have hair. My husband was a shaver... I have finally gotten him to stop shaving and I love it. BUT he has red body hair and his back is not hairy.
He trims nicely around his privates so oral is easier but other than that he's learned to let his hair grow for me.
now I agree if he had very thick and dark hair I would maybe want it to be removed in certain areas like his back or his neck but his arms legs and chest I like au naturale'

Some won't like it. Some won't mind. Some will like it.
It's all preferences, so do what you want to do for you, not for potential girlfriends.

If it makes the guy happy and confident, go for it.
I'd probably suggest he gets waxed instead (like shoulders and back especially so he doesn't have to try and shave those areas himself.) And use a good exfoliant :)
You Do you, OP.
