Ionce had the same feeling, also in my left side and it was really painful. I asked my sister (who is a nurse) and she told me pain in your left side is almost entirely due to constipation.
Make sure you consume plenty of fibre to help your digestive system. If teh bloating doesnt go away with a few weeks see a doctor just in case x

Flatulence, constipation, irritable bowel - all of which your doctor can diagnose or rule out very quickly.
There are a number of far more serious conditions that can cause lower left abdominal swelling and can be treated, but must be caught early.
GO TO THE DOCTOR.
SOON.

Sorry, you need to see the doctor about this. No other sensible solution....
Take care!

It sounds like constipation to me. If you press gently on your left and right lower abdomen, which ever side feels more uncomfortable could suggest these two things:
Left side would suggest constipation
Right side would suggest something to do with your appendix.
It does sound to me like you just have constipation though and I'd suggest you go to your doctor anyway so that they can diagnose the problem.
Hope this helps x
