A female Sweden age 36-40, *osalinda writes:

This might sound like a trivial cry for help but,-

What on earth should I get my boyfriend of 5 months for Christmas?

I want to get something I could get engraved. He's into music,- plays guitar, but not into sports, doesn't drink alcohol and I don't want to get him candy or chocolates.

He stretches his ears, but nice plugs are expensive. Any ideas?

Please boys, help me out!

PhilManco agony auntThis really depends on your budget. I just bought my girlfriend (also a huge music fan) an engraved iPod Nano. Apple's online store offers engraving for free. It's a little pricey, but you can get a nice, engraved iPod for under $200.

It's unconventional for an engraving, but a great idea of music lovers.

SamuraiRick agony auntMy ex gave me a bracelet made of solid 14k with my name engraved. I only wore it a few days. A better gift would have been if she bougtht a baseball and signed her name on in. That would have been cheaper, and being the baseball collector I am I would have treasured that ball along Hank Aaron's. But my point is think about what he would like, not what you would want him to wear. Men generaly don't wear jewelry with the exception of the wedding ring whoch is required.

Maybe a nice simple ring of silver or white gold would do with a special engravement on the inside.

TomWilkinson agony auntbuy a thin chain (silver or anything you like, doesn't need to be expensive) and a guitar plectrum, bring it to a key cutter / engraver and they should engrave anything you want into it, as well as drill a little hole so you can turn it into a necklace!

Someone did this for a gift to me and I loved it!!
