I don't remember whether or not I bled afterward. In any case, I lost my virginity when I was only 13 to a full grown man. No pain, no bleeding, no painful "stretching," nothing. And sex has felt the same way since then--my first time was no different than things are now, emotions/anticipation aside. Being so young (and thus, small), what is the likelihood that my hymen was broken by that doctor?Thoughts?--just to clarify, I wasn't raped/penetrated. The rape kit was only precautionary because of *something* I was forced to do to someone as a kid.

i think she will not be able to fall in love because she will feel rage for any man that comes her way.

Frankly, you can probably still see the remnants of your hymen if you look at your vulva in a mirror. It will appear as flaps of skin at the opening of your vagina.

You may well have broken your hymen then, you would physically have been pretty small so it is quite likely that a swab would have been quite big in comparison and therefore it broke your hymen. That's if you had one at all. Some girls never have one, I never did.

Well... you could have lost yours through an oversized tampon or an attempted split, but it sounds likely that this doctor broke your hymen.
But I don't think it broke your virginity because that wasn't sex. Whatever happened before hand I cannot say but breaking your hymen doesn't class you as an underage. It just means that you cut yourself and that maybe this doc did the right thing doing the smear test maybe not.
I must say I'm more worried about your losing it to a grown man. I'm 12 and I've never seen a boy naked except my bro when I nicked his towel when he was in the shower.
gtg hope you aren't too upset,

Thinking back to various pelvic exams I've had, I'd guess that it's quite possible. But I'd ask a medical professional about this to be sure. It's also possible that the collection of the rape kit didn't affect your hymen, but something later in life did--for example, horseback riding or vigorous exercise.

It might have happened. When I lost my virginity it wasn't that painful and there was no bleeding but I had never broken my hymen. Sex still feels the same but my first was nothing like my friend's sounded. However there was a little I don't know... something left over? We might just have really stretched our hymens? xD
