Question - (29 October 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 29 October 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

i had my last period on the 13th of september, my next one took longer to come around so i did a pregnancy test and it was positive.

i know it sounds silly but i found it hard to believe, even though i am in a secure relationship and we are happy to not use anything.

i did another test a few days after and that too was positive.

anyway, i was just wonderin what the chances of the tests are of being wrong? i am not sure if its just the shock of it because i have always wanted children and find it so hard to believe summat so good can happen to me.

and how far pregnant am i?

and does it matter how long your cycles are to determine how far along you are? because my cycles vary each month.

If you have had 2 positive tests and haven't had a period since sept 13th then congratulations are almost definitely in order! The tests are pretty accurate

We can't tell how far along you are because it is possible to have a bleed similar to a period at the time the egg implants.

Make a doctors appointment soon

BehindThese HazelEyes agony auntIm not sure what the chances but i am currently 13 weeks and some odd days pregnant and the way i found out was I skipped my period in september but when I went to the dr first time, they thought i was 6 weeks but turned out, when i went back a week later, they did an ultrasound and i was actually 11 weeks! so apparently i had a period when i was pregnant. None of us can tell you how far you are, but you really need to schedule a dr appt as soon as you can! Good luck and congratulations!
