i know how you feel! I went up a dress size after leaving college & got really fed up (i cant diet either!)
So just recently i have started to go on a mile jog 5 mornings a week, go to the gym twice a week and do 50 sit ups at home every day.
Im loosing weight and toning up, i feel great, have loads more energy & sleep better at night.
I got into jogging through training for a charity run, it gave me the will power to stick to it, much easier to do knowing your gonna raise a lot of money for people who need it!
Good luck

Just remember, that carbs are converted into sugars (that are needed as one of your body's fuel), but if you don't burn off the excess, it will form into fat cells. For women, these fat cells "congregate" around your tummy, hips, and thighs.
So to avoid excess fats, the first thing you need to do is increase your cardio exercise (lots of walking, or riding a bike, or running up and down the stairs, or swimming). This will burn off the calories from all those goodies you ate. Then after your cardio, you need to do some muscle toning exercises for your ab and hips.
I just googled and came up with these links.

Most of the exercises mentioned int links above (except for belly dancing) you can actually do at home, without having to use expensive equipments.
You can probably do some more googling to find the right ones for you. Otherwise, you can always be a member in a gym and ask for a personal trainer (at least for the first month)
Have fun
