Hi...Gifted a wool scarf to my boyfriend.

He loved it.He never bought a scarf for himself. That's the reason why I wanted to gift it to him.Wanted him to try something new but I was a bit anxious if he wouldn't like it.Some guys hate scarves. But he loved it.He even wore it today.

I thought a wool scarf was romantic and it would protect him from cold weather.

Thank you all.Whatever you have written is so true.I appreciate it.God bless you all.

Not really...unless your guy is into wearing them lol Personally, something to do with sports (like tickets to a game opener etc.) would be much more appreciated.

Just my two cents.

OhGetReal agony auntYeah, it really does depend on your guy. If he loves clothes and he wants to look like he stepped out of fashion magazine and lives in a cold climate, then a wool scarf is something he probably won't buy for himself.

That said, I think the best gift for a man is something he really needs and wants. Ask him what he has been wishing for lately and buy that if it is in your price range.

Clothing is an intimate gift, so I am assuming the man in question is your boyfriend or father?

I'm not a big scarf guy, but if I had to choose, I'd say Merino wool. Warm and not itchy. To me, silk scarves are for operas and stuff...not really my scene.

Depends on your boyfriend. If he's into fashion, or spends a lot of time outside, then it's a good gift.

Depends on the man, if he is down and dirty action man then I would think a woolen scarf, if he is more reserved well groomed and likes wearing suits the silk.

you should be able to tell by the type of clothes he wears .. ie just like a woman, what will it go with in his wardrobe.

Sorry its not much help, I have woolen and silk depending on what I am doing.
