I came off my pill last month and we had lots of great sex, however i got my period the other day although it only lasted three days. This is confusing me as my periods have always lasted for over a full week. Also my boyfriend and i have been online looking for advice on how to help us conceive a baby, most of what we have came across has been telling us to work around my cycle but now that my last period was so messed up we are totally confused. Everytime we have had sex recently I have elevated my hips in the air for at least ten min after it... does anyone have any other advise on how we can make it easier to get pregnant... please help... x

Can i ask,why do you want to have a baby so young? You have so much of life to live yet before settling down.I had my daughter when i was 32,because i was loving life too muchand maybe a little selfish. My daughter now benefits from a mom who has been there done that and woren the teeshirt.I am more patient, responsible, kind than i was when i was 21, and as i still feel 21 inside i have all the energy she needs. Please don't rush into anything just yet, theres a big wide world out ther for you to take.

You've only had ONE period? Since coming off your pill I mean?
Well of course you are not going to be pregnant yet!
Your body probably has been told every day for the last few years that it should not release an egg. So it's going to take a good few months for it to realise that it can do it now.
Head to the family planning clinic and chat to the nurse there about it. They are actually there to help you plan a family and that means they can help you get pregnant.
They can advise you on supplements and timing and everything like that.
Good Luck!! xx
