A male United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hello again, everyone. I posted a question on here on the 5th July this year. Briefly, I was running into a woman on the journey to work every day and did I think she was the most beautiful woman that I'd ever seen? Yes! The question I asked was, as you can guess from the title of this post, how could I get a conversation going with this woman? The signs that she liked me were there.

After reading the couple of answers I got from 'aunt honesty' and an anonymous contributor, the conversation got going. After we exchanged the usual greeting I simply asked her how her day was and from then on the conversation never stopped. I was so excited to get out of bed in the morning and catch the bus to work just so I could see her. My day at work went slowly because I was clock-watching because I couldn't wait to get the bus home. Again, so I could see her. I still felt butterflies the entire time we were together on the bus, especially when she smiled.

Seeing as we work just around the corner from each other, I decided to ask her if she wanted to meet for lunch. To my absolute glee, she accepted. We swapped telephone numbers and began to text each other when we had a quiet minute throughout the working day and even more so after work. We met somewhere nice for lunch and we met up during our lunch break a couple of times a week. I originally guessed her age to be between 35 and 38. I thought 38 was pushing it a bit for seeing as she looks amazing but I found out, indirectly, that she is 42. I couldn't believe it. Honestly, she looks nothing like her age. Do I care though? Not in the slightest! I'd reckon most 20 year olds wished they looked as good as her.

After a few weeks of meeting for lunch, I was building up to ask her out properly. She beat me to it though. We arranged to go out to a nice restaurant one Friday night. I picked her up in a taxi. That way I could have a glass of wine with her and not have to worry about driving home later on. I knocked on her front door and when it opened I was completely taken aback as to how beautiful she looked. We had a nice meal out and a couple of drinks afterwards. The conversation never ran dry and wasn't short of laughs. We found out that we had more in common that we originally thought from conversations on the bus and at lunch. We just gelled. By the end of the night, we were holding hands.

I took her home in a taxi and walked her to her front door. We shared a tender kiss on her doorstep and we bid each other a goodnight. I walked back to the taxi, paid the driver and decided to walk the mile back to my house. I was that happy with how the night went, nothing could ruin it. My house could have exploded and I wouldn't have cared. She texted me the next day saying that she had a lovely time and would I like to meet her for a couple of drinks at the pub. I accepted without hesitation and met her later on at the pub, which is around half a mile from each of our houses. The night went along excellently again.

That was a few weeks ago and I'm now pleased as punch to announce that we're officially a couple. We're both completely head over heels and I'm glad I could share the good news with you all and I believe that I've finally found 'the one'.

Take care everybody.
