We did the dance twice that night. Three years previously I had a laparoscopy to confirm that I had endometriosis, So the chances of me getting pregnant were slim in the first place. One hour after sex I went to the Universities medical clinic and requested the morning after pill. I was informed that the sooner you take the pill the more effected it is….On the 21 of November I had decided to join the National Guard to help pay for schooling. I thought why not take a pregnancy test, it will come out negative and I will start that day or the next. I went back to the clinic to test. Oh how wrong was I. Instead it came out POSTIVE. When I was younger I had hormone surges and I thought it was a false positive. I went back asked if was possible to get a false positive. Yes the smiling lady informed me, did you take an at home test. Nope I informed her, I took it at your clinic. Oh she said, well this will tell you how far along you are. This time it was a blood test. If the numbers are 1-4 the results are negative, 5-24 retest, 25+ positive. My results were 1472. Form my experience DON’T RELY ON A PILL.

Hi Crazykid,
Here's some info on the effectiveness of the morning after pill that you took (government publication: Alberta, Candada):
Emergency contraception is most effective if taken within 24 hours of unprotected sex. Emergency contraception can be effective up to 5 days (120 hours) after unprotected sex.
Plan B will prevent:
• First 24 hours - about 95% of possible pregnancies
• 25 to 48 hours - about 85% of possible pregnancies
• 49 to 120 hours - effectiveness begins to drop to 58% at 72 hours
Ovral will prevent:
• First 24 hours - about 77% of possible pregnancies
• 25 to 48 hours - about 36% of possible pregnancies
• 49 to 120 hours - effectiveness begins to drop to 31% at 72 hours
Here is the link: http://www.health.gov.ab.ca/public/bc_sx29after.pdf
And being that you were on your period makes chances slim that you would get pregnant anyway. Maybe your body is just adjusting back to normal after taking the morning after pill. I know that after I used it, my cycle got all crazy for a bit.
Hope this helps! Take care.

Well, there' a super slim chance you could be pregnant. But if you're only two days, I wouldn't get nervous until day 5 or 6 of being late. Maybe the morning after pill just threw off your system a little bit.
If it's a week late, there's no harm in picking up a pregnancy test, but I'll bet it'll come around in a day or two. Don't worry yet.

Yes. But, you are less likely to get pregnant during your period. There is always a chance however. The unfertilized egg is usually flushed out of your system during menstruation the chances are slim. No egg to fertilize, no pregnancy. Unless of course you've experienced vaginal bleeding of another sort (non-menstrual). Either way, be aware and look for signs. There's always a chance you'll get pregnant. Unless you're fixed, it's usually not If, but When.
