This boy slapped my bum, what should I do?

A female United Kingdom age 26-29, *binastar writes:

Today i was walking up the stairs in my school when suddenly a boy slapped me on the bum! I turned round to see it was a year seven (i'm in year eight) who also happens to be my cousin's best friend!

My cousin is also in year 7, and he is really protective of me, even though i'm a month older. After the boy slapped me on my bum he smiled, blamed it on his friend (but i knew it was him) and walked away. He knows i'm his best friend's cousin and he also knows me since i sat next to him in some lessons once.

One of my friends says i should tell my cousin, but i know he will end up exagerating, and get REALLY mad at his friend for virtually nothing. My other friend says i should confront him and ask him why, but i think it may have been just a dare.

What should i do?

bethevans agony auntHun, when boys go to senior school .. they start growing up .. (or they think they're growing up anyway ) ...

one thing i learnt bout bieng in senior was all the boys are so immature.. they tap girls on the shoulder then stand on the side of the other shoulder and think it's funny.. they say you're ugly when truly your stunning..

they laugh about things that aren't funny, they cheat, they slap your but and say its there mate wen truly we no its them ..

im in year 9 going into year 10 .. and the boys in my year are still as pathetic as that .. so just think .. when they're leaving school or in college they're gna look back and think ..

omg i was so stupid.. i remember dumping a boy when i was 8 because he cheated in a game of monopoly lol.. today i look back and think OMG why did i do tht but it makes me laugh so hun ..

dw bout it.. act like u dnt care.. act like it happens all the time.. he'l soon realise tht he's nt tht special :)

A female reader, Minelisse Puerto Rico +, writes (21 May 2008):

Minelisse agony auntI think you should just let it go. If, however, he does it again, or makes any other moves at you, you should confront him in a very serious note. You need to make clear you want him to respect you. If that doesn't work, talk to the mafia... I mean... your cousin! lol

Good luck!
