how do you get over a guy? its been a month and i was doing fine then all of a sudden i start missing him and start thinking about him even though i know that we could never work because we're just too different and he doesnt match my needs. I cant do this anymore...they say time heals but how long will it take? we still keep in contact n stuff (i thought that i needed too in order for me to forget him) but now im starting to think to just end all communication...but that seems to hard too. its like at the same time i wanna talk to him but it still hurts me.

i really really need help i cant stop feeling so small anymore and feel like he was everything when i know he wasnt :-(

lilgirly agony auntit's very hard to forget somone you love.. for me it's been a year and 2 months and i still can't forget him.. but what can we do life goes on and you have to get used to the idea that you two are no longer together..

and who knows maybe one day you'll be together again.. but for the time being.. go out with some friends have fun.. and try to distract yourself everytime you catch yourself thinking of him..and if you're still communicating that will make it impossible to forget him..

hlskitten agony auntThats the mind playing tricks, happens to most of us at some point. Its like giving up smoking, you know its no good for you so you stop, but then your mind gets depressed about it, so you go back to it, then you remember why you stopped before. Its a case of getting used to a life without that thing basically. Eventually it will be more normal. And remember you survived just fine before they came along. The bonus of splitting with someone rather than giving up smoking is eventually you will move on and meet someone new and it could well be way better! Should be anyway.

Not sure if the mates thing works staright away, usually people need some months apart first. Do cold turkey?
