She doesn't talk to me, but when she looks at me she always smiles, and I usually catch her looking at me out of the corner of my eye. She'll usually sit opposite me as well in class =]. I'm not saying she does like me, but I'd be happy if someone though that she did. I like her as well, but I'm to shy too talk to her =[.

 She very well might. She may just be friendly and curious about you... which doesn't necessarily mean that she likes you - YET. She seems to want to get to know you, so give her that opportunity and speak up! Shyness won't get you very far, so go for it, smile back and say "hi".

reader, anonymous, writes (15 September 2009): This is really a sweet question. If the corners of your eyes do not deceive you, I would say she is interested in getting to know you.
Keep it cool! Ask to borrow a pencil or something like that.
Ask her after class if she thought a test was hard. If you are given a choice for group work, try to head in her direction. If you are partnering in class, ask if she would like to work with you. Compliment an answer she gives in class.....something of this nature in which you are dealing with facts instead of feelings.

 its only the 3rd day!! If she starts to get into a habit of sitting in the same place, sit in that general area.
Then u guys are in talking distance.
Or if u see her in non class times, a simple hi, then gradually get to a convo.

 Probably she likes you, but she's too shy to do something about it. Why don't you talk to her and get to know her better? It can't be too hard if you're in the same class. Be friends with her and you'll see if she really likes you. Good luck.
