writes: hiya.I am going to university in a couple of weeks time and dont know what i should do. Should i lose my virginity before university with a good friend or someone i like, or should i wait and try to find someone at university?Any advice would be appreciated, especially if you are university now and understand what the guys are like there.  It's your virginity, and your choice. If it was me, I don't let pressures by what others do affect the decisions I take part in. Don't feel pressured to give it up. Even to wait to find that someone special, do it and don't let anyone tell you not to.

And also, don't listen to people that say you'll regret not being able to give it to someone you love. I fell in love a couple years later and we had both lost our virginities already. We don't live in the 1800's anymore, we have birth control. Its not necessary to have sex the first time with someone you love because you're less likely to get pregnant so you won't have to worry about whether the person is going to stick around.
You're a sexual being, why not? Anyway, I don't regret anything and I definitly didn't "waste" my virginity. I am also not a slut. The only person that makes you feel regret is yourself.

I lost my virginity to a friend. It was in school though he was visiting me. It was great! I never wanted to date him and he was very nice before during and after the whole situatin. We're still friends. Anyway, I've heard so many girls were it was absolutely horrible and traumatizing. They over idealized it and had sex with someone they didn't really know.
All I have to say is... Don't expect it to be perfect, don't bother doing it with someone you'll date because the break up is HORRIBLE, and make sure that guy is going to treat you nicely afterwards. Other than that it doesn't matter (protection is ALWAYS important). Goodluck have fun stay safe.

 I would wait until you find someone you love and care about. If you lose your virginity to your friend you would be doing it for the wrong reasons. Some guys find girls who are virgins really sexy so wait until uni, you might find the perfect guy there
