We're really close and she has told me that they have talked about me, and that he knows we're really close but I feel bad about this. She doesn't know that I know about this and I don't want to bring it up until she does. Reply to this Question Share |

It could be nothing. I mix up my sons' names all the time. Sometimes you just have a block in the brain. I had a close friend of mine forget my name when he was trying to introduce me to his mother. It happens. I've even called my husband of 10 years by an ex's name (and I REALLY wouldn't want to get back with my ex, blech!)
DON'T read anything into it.
You don't want to call attention to it anyway, because it's likely to hurt her bf. And you don't want to have him insecure about YOU, or you might lose her friendship.

Let's see what will happen if you bring it up.
This may start a kind of argument between you.
She knows that you "have been friends, even before they met".
And I really hope that she knows that you were really close.
If my assumptions are true, you have nothing to worry about.
