I have had regrets when things have ended but when I look back on it I could never stay with anyone that wasn't 100% there for the relationship whether it be either side. I have never gotten bored with anyone but if its just not there then you have to take the pain of breaking up with the hope that you both will find someone who is able to be fully commited.
If you no longer love the person and can't be there 100% then end it. I always realized this within the first year and the one time I had to be the one to break up with her I knew it was the best thing for both of us.

Everyone has regretted not going for someone because it didn't look like she was the right person and you missed her great qualities.
Usually you can't do anything about it because time has gone by and she has a different life. Sometimes, so do you.
