A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

How many years after becoming sexually active did it take you to achieve an unassisted orgasm, i.e. an orgasm where the only stimulation is an erect penis, nobody's hands are being used.... I'm trying to find out how normal I am to have taken me 6.5 years to reach that....

dmartin89 agony auntI have never had an internal orgasm and ive been sexually active for 3 years. Its not the responsibility of the partner always, i am convinced I dont have a responsive G spot, or have one at all! The only way ive ever had one is with a very powerful vibrator on the clitoris.

However i still love having sex with my boyfriend, orgasm or not...

Well, I lost my virginity at a young age, and didn't have my first orgasm from a guy until 4 years later. I can't say that wavin an erect penis at me is all it takes to do the job even now, yes I can orgasm while just sex is bein had but it takes a long time and penatration alone doesn't do it for me.

tennisstar88 agony auntTo be honest my husband has been the only one who has made me orgasm through just sex, no clitoral stimulation, no toys, nothing. So mine has taken me 8 years to achieve. He puts me in the position where he takes my ankles and places them on my shoulders, leans forward tilting my pelvis and just goes to town. LOL, my oh my sometimes I have 3 orgasms in one round of sex. I believe it matters how much you're in love with the person, the amount of passion you guys share, and of course his technique.

A female reader, Tisha-1 United States +, writes (17 September 2010):

Tisha-1 agony auntWhat does other women's sexual response matter to your sex life? Answer a: "Oooh I've been orgasmic since day one!!" Answer b: A mans penis by itself has never made me orgasm, just as my clitoris by itself has never made him orgasm....." Answer c: "Orgasm??? What does that feel like???"

And just to point out the obvious, pretty much any orgasm could never be called "unassisted," there normally is some kind of friction required.

I don't understand why women have to comply with the orgasm police restrictions....

A female reader, YouWish United States +, writes (17 September 2010):

YouWish agony auntHmm...you know, it's not just how "normal" or not normal you are to have waited 6.5 years. Many women never have an orgasm that way, while some do pretty quickly.

A BIG factor (I would say one of the biggest) is the stamina and technique of your partner. If he only lasts all of 30 seconds, you're screwed. If you're lucky to get a guy who can last, and you know where your G spot is and can guide him there and/or adjust your own position, it makes a huge difference.

We waited until our wedding night to become sexually active, and it happened for me (orgasm only through intercourse) 4 days later.
