A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I'm just over 8 weeks pregnant.

I've had alot of dischargey stuff since finding out I'm pregnant and read alot of women do. But today I noticed it's going a beige colour and I don't think this is normal and it's starting to worry me, could I be having a miscarriage?

My boobs are still sore but they don't feel as big as they did a couple of days ago, I have been feeling sick for the last 3 days (I was sick twice yesterday and a little bit earlier today). I haven't had stomach ache for a week or so like I did for the first week or so after finding out, and I am in no pain at all.

The beige/very light brown stuff doesn't smell at all and it doesn't look like blood in any way. I'm just getting a little worried incase it's a miscarriage, I hope I don't seem silly I'm just new to this lol.

Has anybody else experienced this or anything similar?

I rang the NHS today and they told me I may have an infection which would most likely be causing this. I made an appointment at my Doctors for Thursday.

I have an appointment at the Hospital tomorrow because I was seriously considering abortion but never really thought I'd go through with it. I'm going to tell them I don't want the abortion and my Mum said they will check me as it is a Hospital after all. This is a medical for abotion but the Nurse said even though I'm going I can still change my mind.

Now I hope my pregnancy goes normal and well. Thank you very much for answering my question :).

birdynumnums agony auntI'm pretty sure that beige is perfectly normal. They only start to worry if it's bright red and you are cramping. I actually had spotting occasionally, sometimes after sex. It can also happen around the time that your period would have started. BUT I'm a REALLY big believer in not worrying about this when you are pregnant AND the best way to do that is to check it out with your Doctor. Congrats and All the Best!

nailglitter18 agony auntI don't know about beige... Spotting can also occur during a normal pregnancy (that's light blood), but should be checked out if it happens (on principle).

Its always good to check in with a doctor, because they can do all sorts of neat tests. Most importantly, it's ALWAYS good to listen to your instincts. They're there for a reason, and now that you're a mom-to-be, they're in overdrive on survival mode.

Good luck!

O Connor agony auntwell as far as i know a miscarriage results in blood spots and pain. but thats as far as i know, my advice is to go and get thoroughly checked out by your gp, just incase you have some sort of infection or anything, and it will put you at ease too to hear it from the professional. go to a doctor and get checked out. im sure you an your baby are absolutely fine.
