Hey,
you should try "Idealist" from Estee Lauder. It's a bit pricey but makes your skin look very even and makeup will stay on forever! If you don't want to buy it you could just try getting a sample package. Even if it won't be able to hide everything, you may feel a bit better about yourself, what is even more important as confidence is the key :)
good luck!

Hey,You should definitely not cancel your date! I know first impressions are important but I don't think that something like acne can ruin your chances with this guy. You need to be confident and don't let something temporary as acne let you down.I think that it might be a good idea to may be book yourself in for a face mask or a gentle facial at a spa or beauty salon where they know what products they can use on your skin which might not only help reduce the appearance of your acne for Saturday but will also give you a mental boost and relax you a little. Pamper yourself before the date and you will feel great! Don’t forget that men LOVE confident women and physical appearance becomes secondary once your confidence shines through!Good luck for your date and let us know how it goes.I am sure you will have loads of fun!!!All the best!crazy_daisy xx

In time for Saturday there's not a great deal you can do, but every little bit helps. The way you describe your acne as lumps - is it cystic acne?
Are you currently using any skincare products or medication to assist it? Is it an ongoing problem or something that flares up from time to time?
If it is ongoing you should really make an appointment with your doctor and get a referral for a dermatologist. It will be one of the best things you ever do, and you should act quickly in case of scarring.
In the mean time you should be making sure if you do wear make up you take it off EVERY night. Also, check out www.makeupalley.com for reviews on make up - that will cut the costs of you trying every brand in the store and increase the chance of you finding a product less irritating for acne prone skin. I've heard mineral make up is great.
Products with salicylic acid are supposed to be good for acne prone skin.
Cleanse and moisturise daily and nightly with a product suitable for your skin type (dry, combination, oily). I would recommend buying such products from a chemist rather than a supermarket - if you have cetaphil over there I highly recommend that. Very non irritating.
Another DIY fix that is supposed to be a god send is the aspirin mask. Crush 3 or 4 tablets with a small amount of water, grind it into a paste, apply to your face and leave it for 10 minutes. It brings the impurities to the surface - if blackheads are a problem it's good to follow it up with a pore strip.
Hope that helps, good luck on your date!

Well there is not a lot you can do in time for Saturday I'm afraid, it is up to you whether you feel confident enough to go ahead with the date or whether you want to re-arrange it for another time.
However what I can help you with is the acne and getting rid of it! If you are currently on the pill, make an appointment with the doctor and ask to change the pill to something that controls acne too. The pill is great for stopping you getting spots and improving your skin, but only certain types do this. If you are not on the pill, then you can get a prescription from your doctor for anti-biotics (they used to be called oxytetracillin when I took them a couple of years ago) which will clear up your skin pretty rapidly. If you managed to get these today/tomorrow there is a chance your skin might be better by Saturday, however it does normally take 1-2 weeks for it to kick in.
So definately go to your doctor and discuss your skin, they are more than happy to prescribe you something if it is affecting your confidence. Aside from that, try not to pick the spots, moisturise every day and make sure you wash your face twice a day. Increasing your water intake would help quite a lot, when your skin gets dehyrdated then you tend to get spots, so try and drink as much water as you can between now and saturday. Sleep will also help, you need to make sure you are getting at least 8 hours a night. Tired skin is more prone to getting spots!
Dont cancel just yet, see how your skin is looking on Thursday and make your decision then. It wont be too bad if you cancel on Thursday, you are still giving him enough notice!
I hope this helps and good luck!
