well i agree with the other answer. you say your in uni?? things are different in college, things are more casual and not as restricted by regulations as school. so as long as your 18 and he's not your teacher then i say go for it!! i would have loved some certain teachers to say that in my college!!and yeah i get you about him maybe just being drunk - well obivously he likes you anyway, alcohol is truth serum!! but sober and in college he may not want to pursue anything. maybe try and bump into him NOT in college, in a more social place.

but dont jump on him, be cool and if he makes n e references then you know he meant what he said, if he seems a bit embarrassed then let it go, it was just the drink talking.
play it by ear, see how it goes, :)

You are going to have problems if students start talking and some1 with higher authority hears about it. I dnt think its appropriate teacher-student relationship as its a breach of trust but if you really want to be with him and he is prepared to take on the consequences then go for it.
But first i think you should talk to him regardless of whether he was drunk or sober, if you know where you stand with him den the situation will be sorted out easily as he would be able to tell u if it wud get him in2 trouble n whether he feels the same. Dnt avoid him cos it will js end up buggin u.
Good luck!

well, I myself say that flirting is the key.
Im not sure about rules, really, and I wouldn't put the cart before the horse. Give him a wink next time you see him walking by, or just a friendly smile to let him know that you meant what you said, without it looking like you're stalking him. See how he reacts. If you do ever get to the point where he "asks you out", then you could say, "hey, sure! I'd love to. But what are the rules about a teacher going out with a student?" Or perhaps you could take the upper hand, and next time you see him, say, "Hey, you owe me a drink- some of us are going out later... you should come along." (Then let your friends know to give you some space at the pub!)
Chances are, either way, he'll appreciate your candor. :)
