Yeah it sounds like he's just having a laugh to me.
Don't be too paranoid :o) he's probably just trying to make you laugh, I'm sure he doesn't have ulterior motives.
Just brush off his comments and have a laugh with him.
If he goes into more detail or you think its beyond a joke, and he's making you feel uncomfortable, thats the time to say something and tell him to stop.

Both situations sound like he was joking. The first time being the coincidence that you bumped into eachother three times in 24 hours and the second when he joked about what you told your friend.
Maybe you're hoping he's serious. I'm married and would joke the same way.
