Well the thing is, 6.5 isn't too much, so I guess there's some adjustment required in the technique.
Are you trying to push it into her mouth, i.e. try to face-f***? If so, don't. That sort of thing does often trigger a gag reflex even in the most experienced mouth.
Is she trying to deepthroat? Again, not recommended without practice.
Try lying down and letting her be in charge rather than the other way round. She should only take as much in as she can manage. Gradually she should be able to take in more and more until the can deepthroat you. Only then should you go to standing or pushing it into her.
Short answer - put her in charge.
