writes:Hello, so I've just had the shock of my life, this is how it startsI'm 14 and my computer for some reason today started playing up saying stuff about antivirus and doing weird stuff, so i knew it needed to be fixed, i'm really good with computers and many times before fixed the home one (a lot of the times) and school one (sometimes, so before i was going to fix the computer all the work on the comp would be lost so i saved all my work and fav websites on USB, and every time when the computer needs fixing i save everyones work and websites on to my USB and when fixed put everything back on to everyones name.I done that and just had my brothers websites to put on my USB, I opened up the internet clicked on the favourites button (star sign) and was confused because everything seemed to be weird, this was because i was on History with out realising, and cause at that point i never knew i was checking the days eg.. today, last week, and i realised an awful lot of porn sites i was shocked, yeah and still am, i don;t know what to do, before i make accusations i cheked all the days and allooooottt of pron sites on all the times my brother had been on, i find it disgusting that he has done this, this has happened before exact same but that time there was a little websites i think 2 pron sites, i was shcoekd then too, but then thought carefully and assumed it was a pop up as it had happened to me and i thought he would take it of just like me. But this is definitly not the case now, i realise why he is so locked up in his room, and private and moody when some one knocks on the bedroom door, but please can some one tell me what to do, should i confront my mum, sisters (they're way older than me) (i think i would be more comfortable telling my sis) should i tell anyone or pass it by and shutup. HELP!! Thank you for all the help, oh yh my brother is 18 by the way.

I know what it's like, trust me, I'm about the same age as your brother. The hormones are terrible, I just can't help it no matter how hard I try.

Sex and adults is usually frightening and confusing at your age. An older sister might be able to reassure you that this is normal, and there is no need to be frightened about this.

It's none of your business really, if you tell your mum, she will get upset, but there is nothing that you, her or anyone else can do. She might even get upset with you. She knows that this is normal in young men of his age.
I suggest you have a quiet word with your brother. There is no way he wanted you to find this, it is too adult for you. Tell him to clean up his computer, and install passwords and child protection so you don't find this stuff again. You are 14, there are many strange things that adults like to do, that may seem disgusting to you. He is an adult, he is not a child like you. I am sorry you had to find this out about him, but he is normal and he has done nothing wrong. It's best to ignore it and leave him alone. You are not your brothers keeper, you are not his mother, and by making up noise, you may find that everything backfires on you.

 I know you feel disgusted right now, but are you disgusted at the porn itself, or the fact that your brother's looking at it?
When you get older you won't see this as such a big deal. Try not to overreact. :)

I think you should do nothing, the damage is done (so stopping him now wont undo all he has seen), trying to stop him probably wont work and mentioning it will just cause problems. Lets not forget hes a an adult.

 i really do think your over reacting. its not that big of deal. many people go on the sites. maybe he's just tryin to find himself. i've been on porn sites before. and i know other people have aswell. its probably just curiosity and its likely he'l just grow out of it. obviously you will find it bit grosse. i mean c'mon its your brother. but ALOT of boys are like that. my brother had a disc in his room the other day and he told me it was a porn movie. so just dont worry about it. maybe if it gets to a point where he's visitin seriously sick stuff u should intervene. but respect that he's 18 not 12.

Truly, your brother is an adult and if he fancies porn that is his own business and not yours. All you will do by tattling on him is make him despise you and feel uncomfortable. If you are finding it uncomfortable that he looks at these sites ask him nicely to just clear his history when he is done, its really simple! Dont be a nosy little brat.
