My boyfriend told me it was a big deal to meet his best friend. It was probably more important than meeting his parents. At the party, as my boyfriend was introducing me to his best friend's father in law, he forgot my name and I ended up having to say my name. My boyfriend tried to play it off and tried to turn it into a joke like saying "What's your name?" Needless to say, I was pissed. What should I do? Is this a deal breaker? If it's not that big of a deal, how do I get past this?

You get the opportunity to show how cool you are. If you let this go, and accept that it was a silly mistake, you'll show what a great girlfriend you are. Don't fret about little things not worth fretting about. Pick your battles, sweetness!!

At the end of the day its probably the over excitement of him introducing you to a part of his life that you've not seen, he was probably nervous and excited. I wouldnt take offence to something as small as that unless my girlfriend forgot my name on the wedding day
