Waking up from a dream crying?

Question - (20 April 2010) 3 Answers - (Newest, 21 April 2010)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

So, just a quick question. Have any of you ever had a really odd dream and woke up with a jolt and found yourself crying?

I cannot remember many details in this dream. The only thing i do remember is a voice speaking to me very softly. And then i just woke up as i say with a jolt, wiped at my eyes, had a little weep and then i fell back to sleep.

I thought it a strange thing to happen. It has never happened before and i felt a little disturbed.

I know it couldnt just be me who has ever had this happen to them and i was wondering if any of you had any idea what it could be. I have been trying to look it up on the internet but i obviously haven't been looking in the right places because i cannot find anything about it.

There has been nothing traumatic happening in my life. Just a broken finger lol

Thanks

MonksDaBomb agony auntI remember one time several years ago I woke up crying after I had dreamt my brother had died. Sometimes dreams seem so real and something you definitely do not want to happen do in your dreams, that you wake up and your emotions take control.

Hey

I wake up from dreams crying often.

Its an anxiety dream. your probably worried something will happen that may hurt you.

And sometimes It lingers throughout the day.

Like sometimes I have dreams where I am mad at someone and I wake up still annoyed at them.

Its not strange, no worries.

I havent experienced it myself but it those types of dreams if they have a deeper meaning will re-occur and maybe when it re-occurs you will be able to remember more of it. Without getting too Freudian, it is believed (whether you believe or not) that most dreams have a deeper real life meaning, or a reflection on real life happenings, maybe you should invest some time into going to you local library and borrowing a book
