If you are worried about what your mates think, this is not the girl for you. If you were truly into her, you'd go for it no matter what they'd say to you.

A reader, anonymous, writes (13 April 2010):

Does this girl really like you? I mean do you know she likes you? Or are you just guessing? (I'M NOT TRYING TO BE A PAIN IN THE ****!!!!!! Sorry :/ ) Go ahead and ask her out still even if you don't truly know her feelings - the reason why I'm saying this is that I hurt a guys feelings once, and it was because he thought I like liked him...and when he asked me out I...well I had to say no. I don't want you to be too dissappointed if the girl you like says no. Just be prepared that she may not be the one for you - just yet. Who knows she could change her mind in a few months OR better yet she likes you now.

Just try not to get heart broken - even girls who like a guy really badly sometimes say no. It's because they're not ready...you just have to wait.

It was terrible what happened between that guy and me, I don't want the same to happen to you.

If they are real friends, they will support you, if they make fun of you, then it will not find you long to find new friends, you may even find new friends from her friends, and have a girlfriend and a new set of actual friends

They aren't true friends if they would make fun of you. If you like her then go for it.

A male reader, Heartbroken in love United States +, writes (13 April 2010):

Umm who are you attracted to the girl or your mates? What has you worried what they think? Do you really think a girl would appreciate and how would she feel knowing you are with her to try and impress you mates? Trust me bud if this girl is important to you to hell with your mates. And if they have a problem with it then they aren't really your mates

Tell your friends you're going to ask this girl out. Then do it. :)

That way they won't feel you're betraying them, and you get to ask the girl out. Even if they do give you some stick, they'll get bored of it soon.

raiders agony auntIf your mates ask you to jump off the bridge would you. You should ask her out and not worry so much what others think, it should only matter to you. If you want to go out with her than go for it.
