Take it slow. You don't want to start any trouble if its not going to work. How old are the children? My friends step dad and her step mom ended up together and now her 1/2 brother and her 1/2 sister are step siblings. I never affected her intact she was a little happy cause she liked them both and its easy for her to visit bother her siblings. She was a teen ager when it happened, maybe 16 or 17.
