There are many reasons you could be late. Stress is one of them. However, for my first pregnancy I had 3 "negative" tests and another one at the doctors' office. They are very unreliable in the first weeks of pregnancy. (I had been trying to get pregnant and was hoping it was positive.)
Go to a doctor or a clinic. Have yourself checked both for STDs and for pregnancy. Ask for the blood pregnancy test rather than the pee stick. With the blood test, they're looking for a specific hormone to increase from one day to the next, so they may have to take blood 2x on 2 days.
Good luck.

My cycle is still not constand, but that doesn't bother me. It's probably a family thing. There are a lot of different reasons: it could be stress psychic or physical (do you have stress with your boyfriend, with your family or at work?), it could be that you went on holiday to a foreign country, it could be a different nutrition or you have been ill about four weeks ago? Don't worry. Only if it will be more than about four weeks late, I would go to see the gynecologist.

There are plaenty of reasons as to why your period is overdue including, changes in weight stress and lack in nutrition, but there could be other more serious reasons such as a sexually transmitted infection. I would advise that you go to the doctor as soon as possible to rule out anything serious and get the help that you need. It is unlikely that you are pregnant but you must keep in mind that not all pregnancy tests are reliable. Good luck.
