Is there a way to share your sadness with a girl without looking like a wimp?

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I went out with my girlfriend the other week and I was really depressed about some stuff going on at home. But instead of telling her about it I just pretended I was having fun. I'm really scared to tell her when I'm sad cause she might judge me because of it. Is there any way to tell a girlfriend that I'm upset without seeming all pathetic?

We love it when guys go all sensitive on us.awwww....It shows that you trust us enough to share your problems.I go around with a glow all day when my husband confides something in me.Gone are the days when guys had to take out handkerchiefs.Things have changed. She is definitely not going to think you as a wimp.Instead she is going to grow closer to you.Go for it.

TasteofIndia agony auntHave more faith in your girlfriend. Being honest with her and sharing with her will only bring you closer together. Any girl who thinks that you're pathetic is NOT A GIRL YOU WANT TO BE WITH! A winner of a lady will never judge you, and want to hear all about your thoughts, feelings.

I absolutely love that my boyfriend is so open with me. It makes me feel like he really trusts me and loves me to open up with me.

Good luck, my sweet!

penguin64 agony auntshe will probably like you more if you tell her. and feel important that you've chosen her to tell about it! it will bring you closer together if u share something personal. and you will feel better about it. its not pathetic if its something thats bothering you. if you cant talk to someone ur with about stuff like that then its not good.

Where on earth do men get the idea their wimpish if they show their emotions? My boyfriend is always cautious bout opening up bout things with me, I sometimes call him a robot as he as hardly ever cried in front of me but truth is the thing that made me realise how much I love him is when he cried infront of me, I like it when a man can show emotions I'm sure lots of girls are the same. If she laughs then you know she isn't so nice after all. Don't be afraid to show your emotions or your feelings, no one likes a robot. lol All the best in whatever you choose to do.
