They do as well, however much longer it takes them to find out, and however many gold diggers they have to deal with in the process.
Love yourself and know your selfworth. Don't settle for anyone who doesn't wanna look beyond your skin deep beauty, which is still there, in a different form than it was 20 years ago, but indeed you are still beautiful.

 Im 45, I met my partner on the internet on a regular dating site. He is a couple years younger and, post divorce for both of us, it's taken some work for us to really make things work. Age was the last thing we really worried about so I don't think it's that big of a deal as long as you find things in common and enjoy eachothers company.
If your just looking for some dating experience, it's a good way to meet people. We both dated several people before we met and settled with eachother.

Actually I went dancing with an older woman years ago who was 70 and very elegant and she had lots of men flocking around her so yes youre right there is hope for me!!!!!

First of all, 51-59 isn't old!!
Tina Turner is 70+ and I kid you not, I had a professor in college who was obsessed with her. He didn't know her in person but he was well aware that she was 70+ (her age at the time). I'm not sure if he ever got a stalking conviction or not, lol... but she was a lot older than you but in amazing shape.
I think if you take good care of yourself and look your best, that will improve your chances. :) You are still unique, regardless of your age, there is only one YOU. :)
