 It's both normal and healthy. Like Chigirl said, I think not as many women do because it's not as straightforward as for guys. More women should though! If you know what gets you there now and have practice with it, you will have an easier time getting there with a partner. Not to mention it puts you in a better mood.

I masturbate almost everyday, sometimes more than once a day and sometimes more 2/3 times in a row. Im quite a horny person and I have toys and Im no longer ashamed to admit that.But its totally normal...Im 20 right now and all my friends do it too and were all open and talk about sex with each other and even refer toys that are good and stuff. So dont worry Im sure as u get older u and ur friends will be the exact same. Its a fun subject =)

I think it's just because it's easy for guys to masturbate, the penis isn't that tricky to handle, it's pretty much straight forward. However few girls know how to masturbate, it takes long time, many can't orgasm, and then masturbating seems pointless.
Once a girl understands how to achieve pleasure from masturbating it is normal for her to do it often. As an example, I didn't masturbate much when I was a teenager. I didn't understand how to do it, I never had an orgasm either. So I did it maybe once or twice a year. Then at 19 I discovered how to achieve an orgasm (using the shower head, but vibrators also work) and now I masturbate several times a week on average.

 Quite simple - most girls masturbate its just they dont like to admit it or talk about it.
We all know men masturbate, that is common knowledge. But girls are not as open about sex and things like masturbation, so us girls tend to keep it quiet even though we all do it.
So dont worry, you are perfectly normal and most girls are the same as you, they all masturbate.

 LOL ! A recent medical study ( 2009 ) says that 91% of women masturbates . They are just a bit less vocal about it than males.
Age of the first masturbation experience is in average 13.
Girls from 13 to 17 masturbate in average same like boys of the same age : around once a day.
In adulthood, there is a difference . An average of 8/9 times a month for women against 18/22 for men.
You are normal, don't worry.

 It is very normal for girls to masturbate, just nobody talks about it when they are your age.
Men are a lot happier talking about it, in the same way they like talking about farts and who they shagged last weekend. Us girls have a little more poise and grace when it comes to sex. When you get into your late teens and 20s, it is a less taboo subject.
Whoever says they dont masturbate is most likely lying.
