If she just turned 50 your question will become moot very shortly.
A

My wife just turned 50 though she actually looks closer to 38 ( and acts much younger). She has strong PMS so maybe the period cramps etc relieve this pressure and lead her to be more sexually aroused. I look forward to more comments.

I think it's probably quite common. Who knows what the hormones get up to inside all our bodies?

A lot of my friends have told me that they feel hornier during their period. I do too - and I ususally find it's around day 3 or 4 (because the cramps on day 1 & 2 are a bit of a turn-off) I also have a much higher sex drive during ovulation - it's all down to biology.
Women's bodies are subjected to a cocktail of different hormones in varying amount which fluctuate each week. The times that women like sex moxt often coincide with hormonal peaks and troughs
Hope this answers your question some

I know that sometimes I feel intersested in sex around that time of my cycle. I can't speak for anyone else but everyone is different, its certainly not something to worry about.
